Dan Plunkett
Back in the spring of 2007 I took a trip through the southeast with some of the DTE LOC crew for a Thrasher article. Dan Plunkett was on that trip and absolutely killed it. This photo is from that trip and didn’t run in the article. It’s been lost in the vast sea of photos I have on my hard drive ever since. That is, until now.
Dan Plunkett, 5050 on a long, extremely waxed rail. I think it was in Memphis. Or maybe Baton Rouge.
Lest We All Forget.
This past Saturday marked 10 years since Phil Shao was taken from the world of skateboarding. I didn’t know him personally, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t affect my life.
You see, Phil had the first part in the second skate video I ever owned, Think’s “Damage.” And I’ll never forget the first time I watched that part. He skated fast, big, and clean, and always seemed to pick just the right trick for a spot. He was amazing.
The fellas over at Thrasher are working on a memorial video, and I just thought I’d pass it along because it says everything and more that I’d ever want to say about the guy.
Enjoy.

Manfre.
Tony’s backside 50-50 from Stereo’s website, Hi-Fi’s myspace, and the upcoming Stereo/Hi-Fi Fall and Winter Catalogue.

Secondly.
Here’s a second angle of Chris Ennis’ front blunt on the Wild Egg Wall from the latest issue of theZine.

Last Line Summation.
My homey Ryan McKowen pretty much killed it with this last line banger.
Mo’ Searchin’.
Here are some more search phrases from the past few days:
- RVCA zine contest
- jeremiah ballard
- not sure secretary
- louisville skate park live camera
- famous skate spots in san francisco
- zack debrular
- tyrone skateboarding louisville ky
It’s hard to believe that some of those actually lead to theProgram.
Adaptation.
When your equipment is malfunctioning while you’re out shooting, you’ve gotta learn to go with the flow and think on your feet. I wouldn’t have normally shot this trick like this, but my flashes were being less than cooperative this weekend.
Cole Wilson, warm up kickflip over the rail.

Tyrone Porter…
With Andy mentioning some recent searches that have directed people to theProgram, I realized that I had a photo of Tyrone stashed away that I had become frustrated with. I am going to post it anyway just to give everyone something new to look at till the next issue comes out…
