Alex Davis Welcome Video.

I’m sure most of you have seen this by now, but if not, please watch Alex Davis’ welcome video for Habitat.  Alex could easily just claim Cincy roots as that’s where most people assume he’s from, but he keeps it legit and reps Kentucky pretty damn hard.  Ballard introduced me to Alex a few years ago and I was blown away at how good he was on a skateboard, sure, but mostly by just how nice he is.  Alex Davis…Kentucky boy done right.  STAY UP AL!

Welcome Nick Jones.

The inbox for the email to contribute photos to theProgram was starting to fill up with great photos from Nick Jones when it hit me:  Nick would be a great addition to the web “staff” here at theProgram.  He agreed and will now be posting on a regular basis.  He’s started with a banger in the form of an Aaron Vincent (one of my favorites around here) switch flip and I know he’s got more lurking on that hard drive of his.  Stay tuned folks.

 Welcome aboard Nick!

I shot this photo of Nick well over a year ago I’m sure, but it got lost in the shuffle that is my mess of a hard drive.  I think I subconsciously lost it on purpose because I couldn’t figure out a good way to shoot it and just went back to this old standard.  This is actually the last photo I shot at this spot because I was so frustrated trying to figure out a new way to shoot there.  Anyway, a frontside heelflip over the gap is ridiculous, but Nick has a way of figuring these things out.

Aaron Guzenits

Aaron Vincent is one of my favorite dudes to skate with.  If you haven’t seen him skate he’s 1 part Guzman and another part Buzenits which equals 100% gnarly.  This was the last spot we went to on this day.  After just a few roll ups Aaron landed this switch flip first try.. or maybe it was second try.

Super-homey of theProgram Matt Sharer snuck his way into a fullpipe and into the enjoi article over at SLAP Magazine. I absolutely love seeing homies getting coverage. GET IT SHARER!

The guys over at Thrasher are really getting their money’s worth out of the footage from the Saints and Sinners tour from this summer.  P-Stone’s third “holiday cookie” features big chunk of footage from Louisville, including a couple of bangers from Dane Warner.

I’ve been out of town, so I wasn’t able to pass along that Absorb #14 is out.  It’s called Flight Attendant and is full of casual ripping.  Ackels, you roll with some serious talent.

Looks like the boys over at Daily Sesh took notice of Daniel Frank’s montage “What It’s Told” and gave it front page status on their site.  And here we thought no one paid attention to us.  Congrats Daniel…keep ‘em coming.

Also, stay tuned for more announcements involving theProgram and Daily Sesh.

Daniel Frank is cranking out montages left and right these days.  His latest is called Catapa Worms, and while I have no idea what those are, the skating in this one is pretty damn good.  Loads of dudes you don’t see a lot of here on theProgram, and that really, really warms my heart.

Former local and quiet ripper Andrew Cauthen has a sick sequence in the latest issue of Born Ugly Magazine.  There’s also loads of other good stuff in this mag, so spend some time and flip through the pages of another DIY online zine.
