We Want Your Footage, Again.

So in the wake of all this controversy, we here at theProgram have decided that there is not a better time than now to have another reader-submitted footage montage.  The last one was a huge success, so let’s make this one even better.

Send all footage to matt@theprogramzine.com via www.yousendit.com and make sure that it is FULL DV QUALITY.   Do not compress anything, just send the files as you have captured them.  Make sure you include the skater’s and filmer’s names in the email you send so that Matt can give you the credit you deserve.  If you live in the Louisville area, you can also drop footage tapes or DVDs off at Home Skateshop, RIOT Skatepark, or Tiny Skateshop.  The deadline for submissions is April 15, 2010.

We know that there are a lot of you out there that film, so I really hope that Matt’s inbox gets flooded with clips.  Make sure to include alternate angles and other footage of you and your crew having fun if you have it.  These things makes for better edits.

Go get you some!

The fellas over at The Skateboard Mag had a Photofile contest where they were giving away 10 sets of Thunder trucks thanks to Jim over at Deluxe.  Well, the results are out and two close friends of theProgram, Matt Sharer and Phil Blair, teamed up to shoot one of the photos that got picked to be in the final cut.  Congrats duders!~ Couple of killers, you two.

Matt Ballard - So Artsy.

Oh how the tables of turned.  Matt Ballard is normally the one pushing other dudes to rip their hardest, but his tactics seem to have backfired on him when he was forced to do one of our “So Artsy” clips for the site.  Enjoy watching the hunter become the hunted and ask yourself why Ballard doesn’t skate like this more often.

Following the release of Issue Eleven, I wanted to give you all some links to learn more about some of the things we featured in the issue.  The rad dudes over at Knock On Wood have an awesome blog as part of their website.  Ethan Messina posts a good amount of his photos and the occasional interview on his Velvia 900 blog.  Case Mahan goes through spurts of updating his Poking The World With A Stick blog.  What you don’t see there, you might see on The Void Skateshop’s blog.  And if you’re wondering who Ballard’s been filming with during his exploits for theProgram video, you can find out on his Times We Try blog.

Whew…that was a mission.

Issue Eleven is now online for your viewing pleasure. If you ask me, it’s our best issue to date. Lots to read, a lot of great photos (probably the best collection we’ve ever had), and a ton of ripping.

Highlights for me include:
- Jason Bash’s first cover of theProgram.
- Ethan Messina’s photo of Travis Knapp-Prasek’s ollie.
- Nick Jones’ photo of Cory Gilbert’s 360 flip.
- Andy Ferro’s frontside noseslide at the waterfront here in Louisville.
- Reading the interview with two of my favorite people on the planet.

Get in there and find something to stoke your fires. Let us here about it in the comments section!

Austin at The Skateboard Mag has been putting together a weekly feature called Photofile.  This week’s batch of photos feature one of Dane Warner and one of Paul Zitzer.  Take you a look-see and then remember that there’s 6 or 8 inches of snow outside and it’s gonna be difficult to ride your skateboard for a while.

Issue 11 Sneak Peek.

So, we’re getting a lot of questions about when Issue 11 will come out, which is a great, great thing.  All I can say is that it’s coming.  Sometimes these things aren’t easy to make happen when you’re working with what we’re working with here at the factory.  Anyway, here are a few snippets of what you can expect from Issue 11.  For the first time ever…a sneak peek at the next issue of theProgram.

Everything is coming soon…just hang tight for a little while longer.
