There’s a new video up over there in the video section. As things get more serious in the filming for theProgram video, dudes are starting to look at spots just a little bit differently. Changed their whole perspectives on shit, if you know what I mean. Wrap your mind around this one.
This week’s Sunday Sequence features Paul Zitzer again. We had been eyeing this spot for a long, long time, waiting for the right time to strike. You see, you have to happen across it at the perfect time when there isn’t a car parked in the busy McDonald’s parking lot at the top or the busy apartment complex parking lot at the bottom. On top of that, you have to have your balls in your back pocket that day, because you have to skip a long ollie out in front of you and then get all four wheels down before absorbing the harsh curb at the bottom. If you make it through that, you’ve got to surf out between the two parking blocks which are angled back into you. Paul did this twice for good measure.
Matt Ballard just updated his Times We Try blog with a pretty badass little edit featuring Cole Wilson at the Roland Skatepark in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This is the closest thing we have to offering you a video update at the moment.
For the second time in three weeks, a guy who gets Bacon Skateboards for free graces our Sunday Sequence feature. As far as I can remember, Dane Warner is the only person I’ve ever seen do frontside caballerials on a mini ramp. Try one for yourself and you’ll see how awkward this trick is.
Drew Holnagel introduced me to his Cincinnati homie Dave Kappa. Dave has a blog. This entry showcases some (for lack of a better word) b-roll ripping. First two go to Mr. Cole Wilson.
Nashville was recently hit by an unreal amount of rain and apparently a lot of the city was underwater. Andy Ferro is from there and while the flooding has nothing to do with his backtail to fakie in this Louisville ditch that he did months ago, I’m sure that if it did, it would’ve been way harder for him to make this trick.
Well, it’s been a minute, but we’re finally getting the sequences together from the Thunder Trucks Over Louisville contest we had a few weeks ago. Josh Boyer is still working on the video edit, so we’ll have that to you as soon as he’s done with it. For now, you’ll have to settle for the sequences we were able to get out of all the madness that was going on. I can’t speak for Jordan, but that contest was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to shoot. There was so much ripping going on at the same time, it was hard to decide who to shoot.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any sequences of the 2nd and 3rd place winners, but I know they got a lot of clips of footage, so they’ll be in the video edit. Without further delay though, here are the results and some sequences.

It’s been a good week for Louisville popping up in footage. Chet Childress has a Last Call interview with some bonus footage that’s got a lot of park ripping in it. Kris Markovich was probably one of the last dudes to get footage at the Breslin ramp.
On the firing line for this week’s Sunday Sequence is Johnny Turgesen from Bacon Skateboards. This is at the skatepark in Bowling Green, KY and while I’m sure it’s been done by a million different dudes, it’s still a rad trick on a rad obstacle. I’m sure it was as fun to do as it is to watch, so use this as your inspiration to go out and skate this week.
There’s absolutely nothing I love more than seeing friends come up. Super-homey of theProgram Pat McLain looks like he made quite an impression on the Skate Rock tour and got voted MVP of the trip. Doing it because he wants to, not because he has to. Here’s to you Pat…keep doing what you do!
