Pile in, Spill out.

January 8th, 2009 by Bram

One of the awesome things about living in a city like SF is the fact that people come from all over. For decades skateboarders have left their hometowns to live in this amazing city. For example, this day you’re about to see documentation from. The crew consisted off: an englishman, an upstate new york geezer, a bay area dude, two mississippi folks and me, a belgian kid. all in one car, I don’t know how we didn’t get pulled over, but it didn’t happen. sick. de young chill

You know one of those days where you think nothing is going to happen. You know you’re going to get stuck at the first spot. It definitely felt like that. Golden Gate park by the De Young museum is nice and all, but you know…

plenty of kooks around.

This photo doesn’t show the puleo-esque skills one has to have to actually clear the bench. Super fast up and over. Upstate New Yorker Jon Dragonette with the quick snaps.

Onwards. On our way to Ft. Miley we stopped to look at a new spot. A lot of potential, but the only thing photo worthy was the view.

Englisman James Brason, thinking about muffins and Jon craving for the water, or whatever it is that area is known for.

Anyways….Miley is sick. Skateboarding with a view. Sometimes the biggest bust ever though. ATV vehicles, park ranger trucks, dirt bikes, even helicopters looking for skateboarders. Mississipian Alan below here, nollie nosebluntsliding the classic bank.

Everyone knows, you don’t even have to have been here. If you’re up by the top bar, it’s fucking sick. Jon drifting…high.

A good day at Miley. We skated until we actually wanted to leave, not untill someone else wanted us to leave…and give us a federal ticket. We all piled in the car again to go get some snacks at walgreens and look for some other stuff to skate. Not much was found, but we did find this rail coming out of a driveway. People were getting warmed up again just when one of the tenants came home. You would think a whole of drama was going to go down. Nope, dude was cool about us skating this thing, as long as his little daughter wasn’t sleeping. Cool.     This is were my day was getting bad. Nothing but camera and flash malfunctions. It sucked. Alan did this smithgrind three times. Every god damn time some of my gear stopped working. Very frustrating. I got this shot out of it though.

After that we were all done. Because of actual skateboarding or other reasons. All in all a good day in San Francisco.
