It’s a sad day when another DIY project gets the axe from the city in which it resides. The most recent renegade park to go down is the famed “Al Town” in Memphis, Tennessee. There’s a good story about it here. The bright side is that when one DIY dies, another DIY can be born.
Andy decided to give me the reigns for this weeks Sunday Sequence. This week we have Case Mahan at a brand new spot. Continuing in the DIY style Ballard built another spot somewhere in Louisville (your gonna have to ask him where it is). Case was in town for the day and decided to check it out. After a couple of warm up ollies Case blasted this pop shuvit. Pretty proper.
Like we said, things are getting weird as filming for theProgram video ramps up. Brooks Shuping just moved to town and is out skating to his own beat.
WHAT WAS HE TRYING?
Dave Ackels is back on the Absorb train again. He just released number 16 of the series entitled “What Bad Is Gonna Happen?” Another gem of a video from Southwestern Ohio.
The Void Skateshop in Lexington, KY will be wrapping up filming for their upcoming video “2010: A Void Odyssey” in the coming months. Meanwhile, they’ve released a short but chilling teaser for the project. See you at the premiere on September 2.
Nick Jones comes in hot and takes it to fakie for this week’s Sunday Sequence. If you know Nick, then you know he absolutely kills a mini ramp and not just with the typical mini ramp tricks you tend to see these days. I think this finger flip to fakie proves that point.
Home Skateshop and theProgram’s first-ever interviewee Chaney Given have an entry in the Green Label Art design contest that needs your vote. Chaney combined a lot of the best Home Skateshop logos into a really sick conceptual idea that I think best fits the spirit of the contest. Go vote now so that we can all be drinking Mountain Dew from Home Skateshop cans!

To make up for the slack-fest that has been this website as of a late, I decided to hit you with a double shot on this weekend’s Sunday Sequence.
First up we’ve got Cole Wilson. Shortly after last summer’s Get Buck for Deluxe contest, we were back at Waterfront Park for a reason which I cannot remember. I think Cole got an idea for something at the spot. After confronting the ABD @ Waterfront Park Facebook page, he just decided to ollie the whole damn spot.
Secondly we’ve got Brooks Shuping’s second showing here on the Sunday Sequence. This is probably supposed to be top-secret, but I know that he’s already done like 3 more and better tricks on this spot, so what the hell…I’ll blow this one out. This ledge is called “The Icehouse Ledge” because it sits between an icehouse and a brewery, but you could probably also say that’s it called that because it’s incredibly slick. Either way, Brooks’ front tail bigspin out is cooler than either of those things. Well, except maybe the brewery.
Drew Holnagel comes under fire for this week’s Sunday Sequence. This was his warm-up to taking one of the gnarlier slams I’ve ever witnessed. Luckily for Drew, all his boys from Cincy were in town to properly heckle him for the slam.
